About the AWS re/Start Curriculum

AWS re/Start curriculum teaches AWS Cloud fundamentals to help learners succeed in entry-level cloud positions. Through real-world, scenario-based exercises, labs, and coursework, learners build Linux, Python, networking, security, and relational database skills.

Learners receive job-specific training on building effective front-line support, troubleshooting, escalation, and task automation techniques. AWS re/Start also provides learners with professional skills including effective communication, collaboration, resume writing, and interview coaching to prepare them for employer meetings and interviews.

Learners do not need to sign up for a personal AWS account to complete any of the activities in this program. Neither AWS re/Start nor this program will cover any charges, fees, or costs incurred by personal accounts.

Learner Profile:

Full-time availability to attend training Monday–Friday for 12 weeks
Ability to start a full-time job after course completion
Excitement to launch a career in cloud computing
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Graduation requirements

AWS re/Start digital badges are awarded to graduates of the program who have been validated to have accomplished the following graduation criteria:

Attendance

Full attendance is expected – This is not a self-study program. If a leaner is absent, they need to provide a justifiable reason for the absence to the instructor.
Learners need to catch up on any missed material.
Participation
Learners are expected to engage actively in the classroom.
Learners must complete all labs.
Learners must complete all assessments.
Learners must consume all curriculum content.
Learners must take the AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam (passing the exam is not required).
Progress
Learners should score at least 70% overall on assessments (re-takes are acceptable).

The AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification exam blueprint is being updated to reflect changes in trends, the industry landscape, and the work practices of cloud professionals. AWS re/Start learners preparing for the exam have the option to take the current exam (CLF-C01) on or before September 18, 2023, or the updated AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification exam (CLF-C02) starting September 19, 2023.

The document attached to this message provides information for learners regarding the update, and materials for their review.

Please share this information with any learner that has already graduated and is planning to take the exam after September 18, 2023. The information in this material will soon be added to the curriculum for students that are still in the program.
