The candidate pair for President and Vice President (Capres-Cawapres) Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka or Prabowo-Gibran published a work program or 8 Asta Cita Missions for Indonesian leadership 2024-2029.
The eight Asta Cita Missions are part of Prabowo and Gibran’s Vision, Mission and Program documents, as one of the registration requirements with the General Election Commission (KPU). Now, both of them have officially registered as presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
Prabowo and Gibran said that the eight missions departed from the ideals of the 1945 Constitution and towards a Golden Indonesia 2045, which must be realized amidst global economic uncertainty, geopolitics and the climate change crisis.
Prabowo-Gibran carries the vision of Together Indonesia Progressing Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. The mission is called 8 Asta Cita Missions, namely:
- Strengthening the ideology of Pancasila, democracy and Human Rights (HAM).
- Strengthening the country’s defence and security system and encouraging national independence through self-sufficiency in food, water energy, creative economy, green economy and blue economy.
- Increase quality employment opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, develop creative industries, and continue infrastructure development.
- Strengthen the development of human resources (HR), science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, and gender equality, as well as strengthening the role of women, youth and people with disabilities.
- Continue downstream and industrialization to increase added value in the country.
- Building from the village and from below for economic equality and poverty eradication.
- Strengthen political, legal and bureaucratic reforms, as well as strengthen the prevention and eradication of corruption and drugs.
- Strengthen harmonious alignment of life with the environment, nature and culture, as well as increasing tolerance between religious communities to achieve a just and prosperous society.
